Some recognitions from our family
Our territory
Cantina Margiotta is located in the heart of the Majella national park, the heart of Abruzzo, in the "valley vineyard" described by Ovid in the Amores (43 BC-18 AD), an area rich in history and traditions, which has always been devoted to viticulture.
Our family
Almost a century has passed since our great-grandfather Gabriele, the founder of our family, managed vineyards with the ancient form of sapling training.
At the helm of the winery today is Carlo, who has inherited knowledge and passion for viticulture, and together with his daughter Francesca, the fifth generation, summarizes the essence of a land, the culture of an entire people in every single drop of wine.
Our vineyards
We cultivate 10 hectares of vines distributed across several plots in the Pratola Peligna and Corfinio farms, reconciling the ancient peasant soul with continuous research and innovation. Our oldest vineyards date back to the early 1900s.
