History and provenance
The "Pentima" wine has its roots in the historic Corfinio, formerly known as Pentima until 1928. This city, located in the Peligna Valley in Abruzzo, was the capital of the Italian League during the Social War (91-88 BC), uniting the Italic peoples against Rome. It was here that the name "Italy" was used for the first time in a coin minted by the insurgents. This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC represents a tribute to the tradition and historical memory of the region, celebrating its ancient origin and the historical importance of Corfinio.
